Last minute Halloween MakeUp look!!!

Welcome back to An Appetite For MakeUp,

With Halloween today, I thought I would put together a blog post about how to achieve a generic makeup look that you could wear for many Halloween costumes for example zombie, the undead, a vampire the list is endless. this makeup look will just make you look dead, so could just wear this look for anything dead even just your normal clothes and you will still look dressed ready for any Halloween party. So its ideal for a last minute costume idea.

I started with moisturising the skin as always because smooth skin when applying very drying face paints is essential, so just use the one that gives you the most moisture, I also primed the skin using my favourite primer, I used the Arbonne Primer but just use your favourite.

So I then went in with the white face paint, I just used a cheap one from Bodycare, I really think you don't need to spend loads on Halloween because its just for one night.

So as you can see I just used the white foundation with a real techniques brush and buffed it in to the skin, the foundation was really sheer so I used a cheap white powder also from body care to set the foundation and also to intensify the colour and make it matt.

So I just used this powder to do this, I personality wouldn't miss this step because it made the look come together.

I then went in with a blusher from Rimmel, and used this to make the eyes really ill looking, concentrating this on the outer edge and all along the bottom last line and just dare to bring it really far down on to your under eye circles. Think of how you look when your not very well, you have pink eyes so to look dead just accentuate this.

Then I went in with a matt black eye shadow, so you can use just one you already have in your make up collection, again I just used this cheap palette from Body care, the only important thing is that its matt.
So using the black eye shadow darken the outer edge of your eye and then bring it down concentrating on the under eye circle and on your inner eye socket, this makes you look extremely tired and ill so that's perfect for looking dead again.

So again with that same matt black shadow begin to contour with it, similar to what you use bronzer for in a normal makeup routine, so run in down your nose, around your hair line, in the hollows of your cheeks, along your jaw line, down your neck and on your chest to accentuate the bones on your chest to make you look painfully skinny.

So to finish the look off, I went in with a wine coloured lipstick, but putting the colour on your inner lip rather than the outer lip, and then just run a bit of that same black eye shadow along the inside of your lip.
And then your done, here I just made a few cracks coming down from eye with a thin black liquid eyeliner but you down have to.
Lucy is going as a dead school girl so I back combed her hair and ripped some old tights up and put her hair in bunches, very quick and easy.

here I used the same techniques but went in with some fake blood and some Halloween contact lenses.

What are you going as this Halloween?,

Hope you enjoyed it!

Thankyou for reading.

love you already

Massive LUSH Haul !!!!!!

Welcome back to An Appetite for Make Up,

So I went in to Lush at the weekend, I practically died and went to heaven, I love that shop but I love it even more when its filled with all the new autumn and Christmas collection.
When I go in lush, I'm hit with the collective smell of lush that you don't get when you buy one or two items to take home. I bought so much, got a little carried away and now my room smells of that same collective smell !!!!!!! WIN.

I have just had an amazing techni-colour bath and I have a hot chocolate and I'm watching The Holiday (Yes I am aware  its only October), so I'm pretty comfy sat here right now blogging, so I thought I would show you what I picked up.

So yeah I definitely went a bit mad, but I needed a Lush fix, I will be enjoying many baths with this lot and its worth every penny. One  thing I love about Lush is the staff, they are always so lovely and helpful and not in a "I'm going to try and sell you everything" kind of way either, they are just really nice and know everything about the products which is so useful because some times I just want something as a real treat so I want it to be perfect for my skin and sense of smell.

I have herd a lot of this SNOW FAIRY shower gel however I have never tried it, I can completely understand why that every Christmas is comes in and becomes quickly out of stock because it smells BEAUTIFUL; I used it yesterday in the bath and my whole upstairs smells of sweets! My dad thought I had made Jelly haaaa.
I bought the small one but I might have to go back and repurchase the MASSIVE bottle of it.

I really wanted to find a new soap, as I have been using the Karma soap and I really like the sent but its a bit musky but this one is lovely it smells like Christmas obviously as its called Reindeer Rock.

So this bubble bar is basically Snow Fairy shower gel in a bubble bar so what's not to love!!!! Think this will be on my list to Santa!!! Lots of Candy Mountain bubble bars please Santa.

I usually stay away from these glittery bubble bars, but I was talking to the lovely women in Lush about my love of anything that smells of cinnamon and she pointed me in the direction of this glittery silver holly delight called Holly Go Lightly, I haven't used it yet but it smells so festive and looks so much fun.

So this bath bomb called Phoenix, is my favourite it smells gorgeous, it smells of Cherries, dates and again CINNAMON!!!!!!! its really hydrating and refreshing!!!
Something I am in need of now the colder weather is coming, I may have to get a few of these!!! I hope its not a limited addition for autumn or winter, I would be rather sad :(

This little beauty looks like a pumpkin and has a cinnamon stick, sticking out of it as its stork so I had to have it!! I cant wait to try this one, its called Sparkly Pumpkin believe it or not haa.

I have seen these on many blogs and you-tube channels but have never seen one work and WOW they are so fun, this Northern Lights Bath Bomb is like a fire work disply for your bath and left my bath lots of different colours and smelt SOOOOOO good, this one has ylang-ylang in which is really moisturising for your skin.
This is what my bath looked like!!! how amazing is it????

Please comment below which Lush product is your favourite????
What do you think of the autumn and winter collection?

Autumn Nude Make Up Look

Welcome back to An Appetite For MakeUp,

So I thought I'd go through all the make up products I used to achieve the makeup I was wearing in my last post, I talked a lot about the lipstick but I used a few exciting new products I have only just recently picked up, I thought I would share it with you all.

Here is the look I went for, I think it's perfect for a autumn night out, still really nude and golden but with a darker nude lip it brings the look a little bit more current and will match those darker colours we are all wearing now it's autumn.

Starting from the beginning, I moisturised my face with the Elemental Herbology Cell Plumping Fsce Hydrater, I got it free from Space Nk because it was the month of my birthday and it's so nice, it smells solo good and really hydrates my skin, I get really dry around my nose and on my chin especially in the colder weather so I defiantly can't miss this step.

Next I primed my skin with the Arbonne Primer and It's my favourite, I wore this look for s night out so I wanted it to stay in place all night and look flawless and this primer does just that.

Again because I wanted it stay put, I used my favourite high coverage foundation that is the MAC's studio sculpt foundation in the shade NW20, this stuff covers everything and stays on all night I applied this with my buffing brush from Real Techniques.

I then primed my eyelids with my MAC paintpot in the colour Bare Study, this gives a really nice base for you eyeshadow to cling to and is a really lovely colour by it self, on the lid it gives a slightly shimmery champagne colour, I often wear it just alone.
I applied that with just my finger, I find the product warms up a little and you can blend it in better.

I then went in with my Warm Neutrals Pallet firstly with 3 which is Saddle, I blended this in to crease with an elf blending eyeshadow brush which are so cheap and soooo good, I then used a elf flat eyeshadow brush and packed on the shade 1 which is Brûlée and then used another elf blending brush to darken my crease with shade 4 which is dance in the dark.
I then used a brush sprayed with Mac's charged water and packed on shade 2 which is Honey Lust on to the middle of my lid to highlight that area so it looks round as possible.

I further highlighted the middle of the lid with the shade CaparinahaCocktails from my Tarte Cosmetics Golden Days and sultry nights palette, that I love and I won at the Candy Rocks Event which I talked about in a it's
recently so give it a read , it you want haaa.

I then went in with my shinny new Nars Creamy concealer in the shade Vinillla; and put that on under my eyes, down the bridge of my nose, on my chin, on my forehead and then a tiny little bit on my Cupid's bow and I blended that all in with my beauty blender sprayed with Mac's charged water.

I then used a body shop eye liner and lined my tide line and water line and smudged a little bit of shade 4 dance in the dark from the Mac's Warm Neutrals Pallette on my bottom lash line.
I then used the Rimmel Exaggerate Eye Liner and winged it out.

I then used an Elf bronzer to contour my cheek bones using a Real techniques contour brush, then I applied Mac's Blusher in Fluer power to the apples of my cheeks and then finally I added a little highlight in the form of benefits blush in the colour Hervana to the high points of my face.

I then used a body shop lip liner in the shade Pink Brown, to line my lips and then applied 1995 lipstick from Gerard Cosmetics, I'm slightly obsessed with this lipstick.

I really like this look, I think it's a really nice alternative to a dark plum lip for an autumn look, I will defiantly wearing this look a lot in the next couple of months!!!.

Please comment and tell me what products you are loving for autumn.

The " kylie Jenner" Lip

Welcome Back To An Appetite For Makeup!!!!!!

So everyone one in the beauty community, bloggers, you-tubers alike have been all going bonkers for this lip colour, and I can see why it's so different and is really universal and suit everybody.

I thought I would share my take on it, I have two options in my make up collection that give the "Kylie Jenner" look!

The first is a lipstick by MAC and my very good friend Steffi bought me it for my birthdayand it's called Faux and I'm obsessed, this is definitely the more muted one out of the two, I use it with no lip liner and it's perfect!!! Just perfect!!!!

I think this lip colour is beautiful and really just like " Kylie Jenners" and definitely more muted than the next one.

The next lipstick is equally as beautiful, and I saw this on You-tuber And makeup guru, Jaclyn Hills channel, she actually work with Gerard cosmetics to design this lipstick colour making sure everything was right and she did an amazing job, It's of course the lipstick straight from the 90's and aptly named '1995' by Gerard Cosmetics.
I used a lips liner with this look just because of my pale complexion the lipstick is quite dark, so I treated the application of the lipstick just as I would a dark red or plum colour.

*note* Sorry about the amount of selfies in this post!!!

Please let me know what you think of this lipstick trend!!!!! Do you like it or hate it ???????
What lipsticks do you apply to achiever this lipstick???????

The Candy Rocks Event

Welcome back to An Appetite for Make Up,

I had the absolutely pleasure on Thursday night to be invited along to the Candy Rocks Event, a north east based jewellery company which have the most amazing collection of statement necklaces; in which I am now the proud owner of five and I'm sure I will collect a fair few more.
I was invited by Lisa, one half of the Candy rocks team and fellow north east blogger, follow her blog here, its amazing.

So the event was held at The Town Wall which is just over the road from central station in the centre of Newcastle, and they didn't half spoil us, it was such an amazing event and I have never been so lucky ever in my life.

So of course there was so many pretty necklaces which I bought two of and won one and then to top it off received one in my goody bag!!

I don't know what I'm playing at really because every photo I took was naff haaa, very blurry or to bright because of the flash, but I have already read some amazing blogs with lovely pictures of the event that you must read!!! Shivani's blog

So I bought two necklaces which were gorgeous however I can only show you one as the other is a present for my friends 25th birthday and she reads my blogs (bless her),

I wore my new necklace on a girls night out at the weekend just with a plain black dress and it really set the outfit off. I LOVE IT.

So we had the chance to name a necklace and then they chose the name they liked the best and that person won the necklace, and I WON!!! I was very shocked because I never win anything ever!!! but it seems that Candy Rocks is my good luck charm because this was the first of a night of LUCK !!!
I named the necklace "Liquorice On Ice" and they liked it and I got to take the beautiful necklace home !!! YEY.

The lovely girls at Candy Rocks held a raffle to raise money for Headstart4Babies and OH MY GOD what  brilliant prizes they were I won two amazing gifts!!! I couldn't believe it I have always wanted something from tarte Cosmetics but have never got my hands on anything but I won a tarte eye shadow palette "Golden Days and Sultry Night" and I'm obsessed!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT

So I have been looking to buy the blush "the Rockateur" for ages now and I won this gift set from benefit, its amazing and the blush is perfect and because of my pale complexion it's kind of a bronzer on me too so win win really!!
I am so gratful for my prizes and I hope we raised a much as we could for the charity.

The event was so fun, and we even did a quiz!!! and I was absolutely crap, I didn't know any answers except one about Harry Potter so glad I was teamed up with quiz master Chloe who blogs over at The New Girl In Toon, she was brilliant she put me to shame.

So after all the treats throughout the night, we got to take a goody bag away filled with brilliant treats and sweets and necklace from Candy Rocks which is gorgeous!!!!!

This is my beautiful niece Jessica wearing my Candy Rocks necklace and she loves it!! I MIGHT LET HER WEAR IT !!! JUST MAYBE !! HAA.

It was such an amazing night, I had so much fun and met some lovely new bloggers and got to catch up with some familiar faces once again.
Would like to say a massive Thankyou to Lisa and Andrea at Candy Rocks for inviting me you are so kind.
Cant wait for the next event we all get to go to.

LASTLY,

Thankyou for reading. LOVE YOU ALREADY.
