Skin Care Routine

Welcome back to An appetite for make up,

I have never been happy with my skin care routine in my life, I have always struggled with breakouts especially blackhead on my nose and chin, also I have dry skin.
In my pursuit for the perfect products, I have tried everything and just now I think I have found the perfect combination of products that do what I want.

So in this post I'm going to share with you my current skin care routine which I am happy with,
(at the moment anyway).

So firstly, I am going to talk about their BIORE Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser
I have seen so many charcoal masks and charcoal products on the market and I was really intrigued.
Charcoal has the ability to draw out impurities and trap them, I have been using this face wash for about a month now, and I have noticed my pores on my nose are so much better they feel unclogged and less visible, I did get quite a few stops  the first week but they seem to have cleared up now.
I will carry on using this morning and night, I love it.

I have just recently been on a holiday to Spain with my family, and when I was on the plane I thought I would take advantage of the duty free and treat my self to a Clinique Sonic System,
I have wanted to try a cleansing brush for ages, as I have dry skin I feel like it will gently buffs away the dead skin and I really like the way my skin feels after use.
I use it just once on an evening for 1 minute, I feel like if I use it any more it would irritate my sensitive skin.

I use my cleansing brush with the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap in Mild, I didn't initially buy any products to use with my brush on the plane, and I was unsure what to use, I asked in Debenhams and has a really useful chat about my skin type and she suggested this soap, I really like it and it so soothing on my face. I think you have to use a really liquid soap with this as the brush would irritate your skin if the brush isn't wet enough.

Lastly, I have been looking for a really intense moisture mask to put on my skin, sometimes because I am trying to get rid of my blackheads and I'm washing my skin alot, this leaves my skin dry.
I was in The Body Shop, trying to find my mam a birthday present and I noticed this product, its called a DROPS OF YOUTH Bouncy Sleeping Mask.
I have never seen anything like this product and its so moisturising, it comes with a little spoon with it so cute!, a little scoop is all you need for your whole face, so at £24.00 a tub, I don't mind because it will last me ages.
It has very thick jelly-like texture, and you sleep in it, it is anti ageing so I am hoping this will be my new wonder product.
The range has a serum to use through the day, underneath you make up so I will be purchasing this next time I am shopping.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and I hope you try some of my favourite skin care products;

Fresh Hair and Make up look...

Welcome back to An appetite for make up,

So if you have read my last post, you will know I had a bit of a spree in House of Frazer!! oooppss ha. So with my new products I thought I would write a post about how to achieve a fresh, radiant and youthful hair and make up look. Hope you enjoy.

So firstly I primed my face with this serum from Estee Lauder called the Idealist!!, its amazing just makes my skin even and ready for makeup.

Secondly, I moisturised my face with the Hydrationist moisturiser which basically does exactly what it says on the tin!

I then applied Double Wear concealer on the the parts of my face I need a little more coverage and to the parts of my face I want to highlight and brighten.
These places are under my eyes, on my forehead, down the centre on my nose, on my chin and on my cupids bow.

I then put the Double wear foundation every where else on my face.

I then used a damp beauty blender to blend everything in, this is my favourite way to blend my foundation in because I feel it gives are really nice finish, sometimes I feel that when I use a brush, the brush catches the dryer parts of my face and showcases these parts.

I then set all of my foundation and concealer with the double Wear Powder, I just use a little as if I use too much, this product also extenuates the dryness.

I usually use brow waxes or brow powders to fill in my brows however with this being a fresh make up look, I didn't want my brows to be to over done, so I decided to just use this Rimmel brow pencil in the shade blonde, I just lightly filled in the brows to make them look just a little fuller.

Again not wanting to go to heaver on the eye shadow, I opted for these colour tattoos, I love these products and have them in so many colours.
I decided to just sweep the shade Pink Gold over my lid and then go in with On And On Bronze just putting this on the outer edge and in the crease to create a little definition.

I then added a little mascara to my top and bottom lashes.

I then added a little colour to my face with this bronzer from Lord & Berry, which I received as a sample in one of my Glossyboxes which I may have to purchase again.

I then used Nars Laguna blush, which is famous in the beauty world, I love the flecks of gold within it, because of these I just skipped the highlighter today, as this acts as one on my skin tone.

I went in with Mac's lip liner in Soar, this is the perfect nude colour for my skin tone when I pair it with pink nude lipsticks.

I paired it with Mac's Speed Dial.

AND FOR THE HAIR........,

So this is really simple and can be done within minutes which is why I wear it quite alot,
I twisted the front part of my hair, however I just watched a youtube video by Lilith  Moon and she explains if better than I ever could.
Its ever so simple, however this can be done with a plait to and would look just as stunning.
Please watch this video to find out how to do the twist, she is an amazing hair artist.

So once you have your twist or plait, just scoop all your hair over to the side and start to twist.

Eventually if you keep twisting, it will twist in on itself once this happens just  curl your hair round making a side bun, use a bobble the same colour as your hair and secure with bobby pins as needed.

I like to add a flower to make it a bit more interesting.

Thankyou so much for reading.

Please comment down below telling me, what your go to hair look is when you don't have much time.

Love

Estee Lauder Haul

Welcome back to An appetite for makeup,

So the blogging has been a massive fail this year, BUT.... I am really focused now and want to get back in to it, soooo....

For sometime now, I have not been happy with my foundation, I have extremely dry skin especially around my nose and I have never used a foundation that didn't extenuate this.
I went for a little shopping trip to House of Fraser and when looking around the women on the Estee Lauder counter offered to do my make up and me being me I bought the lot!!!!

So I will run through the products I bought and share my thoughts on them, so hope you enjoy and please let me know, your favourite products for dry skin.

So first off, this foundation slightly shows off how dry my nose actually is, however if applied correctly this foundation will cover anything and has such a beautiful finish. I must note, with this foundation you need to get your skin care routine down to a T! If I were to use this foundation without moisturising beforehand  it wouldn't look so good.

I am totally guilty of sometimes not taking off my make up as good as I should and just running a make up wipe across my face, so I thought I would treat myself to a really good make up remover, and this Estee Lauder Take It Away is amazing it feel more like a moisturiser, I love it.

To go along side the foundation I bought the concealer, its a really nice concealer which covers all my imperfections really well, its very good under the eyes to cover my dark circles, however maybe I would purchase a lighter version to brighten up my under eye area a little more.

As I had purchased the foundation and concealer, I thought I would go the whole hog and get the powder too, to set it all in place, I really like this powder and just brush a tiny amount on my face to set my foundation and on my T Zone.
You can really control the coverage, by using a flat make up sponge you can really pack on the product for a higher coverage, I sometimes just use this for days I just want to even out my skin tone.

So as I have mentioned, I have dry skin, and this has been my absolute favourite ever moisturiser I have ever tried, its so hydrating (hence the name). I have actually already used all of this and will be purchasing it again.

Well, I can tell you that Estee Lauder are quite generous with the amount of free samples they give you, or it may have been the amount of products I bought, but none the less, I got loads!!!

Two products I was very impressed with were the two serums I received as samples, they go on before your moisturise and have really made my skin feel more hydrated and even.
I will be purchasing these two serums without a doubt.

Please comment down below telling me your favourite Estee Lauder products?

Thankyou for reading.
