Mac LipStick Collection!!

Welcome Back To An Appetite For Makeup,

So MY favourite types of Blog posts or you tube videos are absolutely those about MAC lipstick collections so when looking at my ever growing collection I thought I would do one so hear goes!!!

So I thought I would Firstly apologise with the amount of selfies/pouts that may crop up in this post!!! ha

To kick of things LIPSTICK, I will first start with my very first ever MAC lipstick back when I didnt even wear lipstick which looking back seems so odd that I didnt and to ease myself in to it  I went in to MAC and asked the girl what would suit me and she suggested Crème Cup, these days I wear in as a everyday Lipstick for days out or for work.
I love it and being in the beauty community I havenoticed everyone seems to like it, its one of those staple lipsticks which is a bit of a cult favourite so good choice MAC lady.

Crème Cup

So next, I really wanted to stay in the pinks because thats all I would dare (then HAHA) so I went for Speed-dial and its one I dont seem to reach for but I recently bought a Magenta Lipliner to use with another Lipstick which I will talk about later but I used it with Speed dial and I really like it.
I love how you can completely transform a lipstick with using lipliners as bases.

Speed Dial
So after Speed Dial I got a little brave and went to MAC and wanted a red so I asked the girl to match me with one and she said because I was so Pale I would suit Viva La Glam, it was so different to anything I had worn before but I really liked it on me, and I wear it all the time on nights out with the girls and its such a fun colour.

Viva La Glam

This lipstick probably has got to be my favourite autumn colour to wear, Captive, its like a really nice pale Burgundy but I do want a darker one something like Cyber maybe thats next on the shopping list.
I really like wearing this colour on a night out but it still is wearable through the day for a girly day shopping. I love it !!!!!!

Captive

All Fired Up is my newest purchase, recently on a shopping trip I spotted it and went to buy it and they didn't have it in stock, I have to admit I was slightly gutted, a little more gutted than I should be over a lipstick but I went on my phone and it wasn't out of shock on the website so I ordered it on there and a few other things I couldn't afford either.
In the picture below I have a red Lip Liner underneath as a base but I love it by it self to, just a fun girly colour kind of like a dark pinkish red! what a mix!!

All Fired Up
And Lastly its Candy Yum Yum and this colour is by far the brightest and most fun colour I own and its really not like me but I love it and wear it a lot more that I thought; its such a bright colour but I think it suits me.
I wear it with a Magenta Lip Liner underneath when I bought it, the Mac Lady was confused why I was buying the two items together which worried me a little but I just liked the combination and have never looked back !!! so mix up them lip liners and lipstick combos Ladies !!!!!!!

So that is all of them, I am sure my collection wiLL grow and grow and my purse will suffer but I am not worried in the slightest.

Thankyou for reading, please comment and show me some love!!!!

GlossyBox Vs BirchBox

Hello Everyone,

Welcome back to An Appetite For MakeUp!!!

So I have done a few Beauty Subscriptions box reviews now, and February's Birchbox and February's GlossyBox came within days of each other so I thought I would do a Battle of the Boxes style post so here goes!!!!

I will kick it off with the Glossy Box!!!, and can I just say they excelled there selves with the box.
I love it and its my favourite by far "the BE MINE" box and its covered in lipstick marks, its brilliant and inside did not DISAPPOINT one bit.

So of course being my chocoholic self I definatley was a little excited when I saw that decent sized red bar of Lindt Lindor Treat Bar and it was consumed within minutes of taking this photo with a large cup of tea and I enjoyed it !!! so and get yourself one and enjoy it ! you deserve it.

So next I was over the moon to see a Ciate Paint Pot, I have never tried anything Ciate but I really wanted the Ciate Advent Calender, I'm definitely going to treat myself this Christmas but until then I have this lovely Red and I'm so glad it was red because its hands down my favourite colour for nail varnishes!!!

Next is a product I still don't know how to use and its Tony & Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe Stick it up gum,
I have quite greasy hair so I don't want a product that makes your look wet but it says its good for making your hair have volume if you rub it in to the roots but we will see.

When I saw this pink shimmering body shimmer and I was a bit meh, the product looks a bit cheaper and something i would have loved as a teen but not now, but I gave it ago and I actually quite like it, it says you put it on your legs and they appear longer; I don't know about that like but it smells nice.
Its the Nougat London Sparkling Body Shimmer.

So funnily enough both GlossyBox and Birchbox gave us a Eye liner in the Glossybox we got a really under  eye eye liner as opposed to a liner good to do a wing it, which is the Maybelline New York Master Kajal Liner.
And in the Birchbox we got an amazing winged liner eye liner so That's what I call team work!!!!

The last thing I got was a Miner Cosmetics in Cocktail Kiss, I'm not really a massive fan of glosses and this one is particularly sticky so I gave it to my lipstick oppressed five year old niece, Jessica and she is over the moon.

I was really impressed with Glossybox over all and now this is what I got in my Birchbox it was defiantly a goood month for Beauty Boxes all round.

I was really excited to receive a lipstick, I have never got on before, I received a Modelco Party Proof Lipstick and its a nice consistency but really not my colour its too orange and just completely washes me out which is a shame but I'm not going to pass it on just yet, I cant part with it yet, which is a bit silly but hey ho haa.

before I mentioned the eye liner and I do really love it and it give the most perfect winged eye liner look ever, this is probably not a tip and everyone reading will probably already do this, but I always draw my eye liner from the inner to the outer corner but with this eye liner It said to do the opposite so drawing it on from the outer to the inner and it just has changed my winged look so much!!!!
And apparently its Alexa Chungs favourite definatley not in bad company.

So the next product which is amazing is the Beauty Protector, Protect & Oil it smells amazing and I have really noticed a difference in the condition of my hair, I am in the process of growing my hair and think its so important to grow it healthily so you don't go to the hair dressers for a little trim and they cut it off because its all dead at the ends so hopefully this is help with this.

This Next Product is a Shower Gel by Gilchrist and Soames, The London Collection and it smells like grape which is an unusual scent and not something you see in every product on the high street, I love the scent and its has a really long lasting scent once you have used it.

So the last beauty product which was in the box was a Urbanveda Radiance Daily Facial Wash and I have to be honest I havn't tried it because I used to have problems with my skin and I have just got my Skincare routine down to a T and I don't want to mess it up I promise I will give it a go soon.

So overall I was really happy with both boxes; But if I had to pick my favourite it would have to be the Glossy Box.

WINNER = GlossyBox (this time)

My First Birchbox!!

Hello Welcome back to An Appetite For Makeup.

So I have already done a few Glossy Box Reviews, I love them, the idea of getting a box full of surprises every week its so exciting.
I have been reading alot of reviews of alot of different beauty boxes but I have always wanted to sign up for the Birch Boxes so I treat my self on pay day and bought a 6 month subscription.

So BirchBox like GlossyBox is a monthly subscription beauty box at the same price but Birchbox have a online store which you can buy the products they promote with free shipping.

So I was happy with the box overall but there was lots of moisturisers which are necessary but not as exciting as say a lipstick or something like that.
But I have to say when I saw that little spy girl I did a little happy shriek, I have the full size POREfesssional
but I was running out and thinking of trying a new primer and when I received the sample bottle of it, it definatley made me fall back in love with it.

I have been looking for a new moisturiser for a while and I really like this one, I put it on before my make up and it makes my skin feel amazing, Its the Blanc Cachemire, Creme De Jour Proctective; I am going to try it for a few more weeks and I would definatly thinking of investing in it even with its £54.75 price tag for the full size product.

so next was the Philip Kingsley, Moisture Balancing Conditioner, the card says helps with tangles and I have really naturally curly hair so my hair gets really tangled and this conditioner really did do wonders on the knots, not to keen as I felt it left my hair quite greasy and this isn't something I usually have trouble with.

I have just found my absolute favourite hand cream ever in the Soap and Glory's Hand Foot, but this one in the box was nice and with defiantly use it, I keep it at work and it is really nice, its the Lavera Hand Cream and it smells really nutty and is very buttery.

The last beauty product in the box was the BEEKIND Body Lotion and I love it, it smells like honey and is really nourishing; I use it all over my body but mostly on my arms and legs after I have a bath> I will be dinfatly investing in the full size products.

Lastly They always put a Lifestyle Extra in the box and this month it was a ITSU Miso Soup and to be honest I cant bring my self to try it, apparently its really healthy and tasty but it just doesn't appeal to me.

Looking forward to my next box.

Metrocentre Haul !!!

Welcome back  to Appetite For Makeup,

So on Saturday, (the day after pay day) I decided I needed a little retail therapy So I went to the MetroCentre and bought way too much as usual.
When reading though blogs and watching youtube, I kind of make a mental list of everything I want to buy when pay day comes around.

So I have quite alot of Mac Lipsticks and Lipliners; but these too combined maybe is my favourite,
Magenta lipliner and Candy yum yum lipstick, the lipliner is a little darker but I think it goes really well.
I went out on Saturday Night on a girls night out and wore the Magenta lipliner all over the lip acting lick a base colour and then put Candy Yum Yum over the top, I loved it.

Something I have wanted to try for ages is the Benefit's The POREfessional Agent Zero Shine, one thing I cant stand is when I have a shiny face so I was really excited to try it; and I wasn't at all disappointed it took the shine off my face and kept it off!!! Miracle product !! Cheers Benefit!!!.

Something else from benefit I have been eyeing up is the Lolli Tint; I haven't got any of the tints but this one has really interested me! I love pink blush and couldn't wait to try it and again I LOVE LOVE LOVE it .
I really like to wear it on my lips too, it gives just the right amount of pink, to give you a lovely everything look or you can build it up or use it with another lip product to get a stronger look.

Lastly again from benefit I picked up the Erase Paste; I have always struggled to get rid of my dark circles so I thought I would try this. I have only used it the once but it like it, its maybe a little shiny but I think I have to learn how to use it better.

Whilst I was in The House Of Fraser browsing around Mac, I spotted the Nails Inc counter and was drawn, I thought why not get my nails done; there was a offer on, if you bought a varnish you got your treatment for half price. What a deal!!!! so I went for it, there is nothing else as relaxing as getting treatment done so I picked the nail varnish "Victoria" which was a really dark red and I love it and then had gel nails put on in the colour Kensington High Street.

Lastly I walked past Lush and couldn't resist going in, that place smells so good!!!!!! I picked up a bubble bar "The Comforter" and it smells divine cant wait to have a bath with it, I keep forgetting to put it in.

Lastly I thought I would share a look I wore on saturday night with all the products I have talked about.
Hope you like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
