Liebster Award

Welcome Back To An Appetite For MakeUp,

So I had never herd of the Leibster Award but I was Nominated from a  few brilliantly bloggers
Lily and Joana  Thankyou you lovely Ladies.
So I am meant to answer 11 questions and nominate 11 fellow bloggers to do it, so here we go!!!!!!!!

                                  1.    Why did you decide to start blogging?

Well, I started at university because we had to do it as a part of the course, but the blog back then was concentrated around my textile work and the work of other artists.
But I recently got really into makeup and beauty and started to watch alot of youtube, so I just thought lets give it ago.
I would love to start a Youtube channel but I'm a little scared. One day maybe !!!!

                                 2. What bloggers inspire you the most?

I read just about everyone's blog, but I love Tanya Burr, Lily Melrose, Lily Pebbles and probably my favourite is Vivianna does makeup, I slightly want her life.

                                3. What is the one product you cannot live without?

Well as a make up obsessive, this is a hard question to answer, but I would have to say my Foundation.
I think clear looking skin is all you need.
I use Mac Studio Sculpt in the colour NW20, it is my saviour on everyday.

                               4. What is your go to item in your wardrobe?

For a daytime look, it has to be a dress and leggings, probably something tartan known me, I am a little obsessed with the print at the moment.

                              5. What is a trend that because big that you just didn’t get?

I think I didn't get this trend because I didn't have to legs for them, I think they look brilliant on some people but not on me. ( Jealousy Gets You Know Where Nicola ) HA HA
But its WETLOOK leggins.

                             6. If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?

I would love to travel to America, but not the obvious place like Disney land or New York; I would love to see them places too however would love to go to North Carolina and Seattle maybe like a road trip right round America.
                           7. What is your favourite season of the year?

Defiantly without a doubt Autumn/Winter, there is nothing better that chunky knitted cardigans and scarfs, I love the dark colours and chance to wear some really dark lips to go with them.

                           8. If you could be any celebrity for the day who would it be?

I would Love to be ADELE for a day, I think she is beautiful and curvy like me haa, she is so talented too.

                          9. If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?

I would love to be able to stop time, how cool would that be, I am a person who is always fashionably 5 minutes latte for everything, even work which is really bad so the stop watch would come in so handy.

10. What is your favourite fashion or beauty trend at the moment?

I have to say Tartan, Simple as that.

11. Most played song on your phone or other devices?

At the moment, its Little Mix ( Little Me), I love it.

I hope you have enjoyed my answers and now I NOMINATE

January Glossy Box!!!

Welcome Back To An Appetite For MakeUp,

So after a long long day at work yesterday, I got in to a parcel and I was so excited to open my 2nd  Glossy box but unlike last month where I was so pleased with what I got, this month I was left feeling slightly disappointed,

I opened it to receive quite alot of moisturising product and even though these types of products are essential for keeping your skin healthy they simply don't excite me.
And unfortunately for GlossyBox, looking through twitter and instagram, alot of people were disappointed too.

Anyway lets start with some positives, So I absolutely love The Vintage Cosmetic Company lashes so when I saw the full size tweezers in all there floral glory I was excited and they are really nice and easy to use too.
Really needed  a new pair too so what a find.

Also I was very intrigued with "Anatomical's Puffy the eye bag slayers", first of all what a name, and what a description, It was so funny with all its vampire content but what was important was the product.
I tried  the eye strips and I was so surprised they didn't sting my eyes because usually most under eye products do, I have extremely sensitive eyes so I am very careful about what I put on them; I have been in the market for some products to help combat under eye puffiness and dark circles so I was excited to try them.
So the instructions said to leave them on for 30 minutes but after my bath and little pamper session and put the eye strips on and they were really soothing so much so I fell to sleep.
I am most defiantly going to invest in these and cant wait to slot them in to my skin care routine.

The next product was two little "YU-BE Moisturising skin cream" which looked like something a doctor would prescribe rather than a luxurious moisturising brand but I have really chapped lips and the product worked wonders for my lips but it did sting a little so I wouldn't put it anywhere else on my skin.

And the finally two products were a little disappointing "Vaseline" essential moisture which smelt really nice but just wasn't exciting, and the next product was "Balance Me" super toning body wash, which I Haven't tried but I cant try because I am allergic to Lavender so I am going to pass that on to my sister.

Overall I wasn't as excited as I was to receive Decembers Box  but I am still looking forward to receiving February.

Two "Can't Live Without" Make Up Brushes

Hello Everyone, Welcome back to An Appetite For Make Up,

I am the first to admit I have way to many brushes but I am certainly not ashamed and neither should you, we are all the same.
I have a lot but if I had to just pick two these two would be my choices, so first would be a good foundation brush because I believe if that's right you can create any make up look perfectly.

The New CID Foundation Brush, So I came across this brand about February last February I went to a Make Up demonstration at Winyard Hall and I absolutely fell in love with the brand and spent a little bit too much money but hey ho don't we all.
Its such a nice brand and I will show you all the products I bought if you interested, please leave a comment down below if you are.
So back to the brush, It blends really well and makes the product go a lot further, I am really not a fan of putting foundation on with flat brushes so I like this brush because I can really buff it in to my skin.
I'm really not a fan of foundations without a high coverage so I need a brush I can buff it in with so my high coverage foundation doesn't look too much this brush is just prefect for that.

So this brings me to the next brush and I don't think I could put "favourite" and "brush" in the same sentence without talking about Real Techniques, I absolutely love Pixiwoo and I think we all do!!
The whole range is amazing but my favourite is the "Buffing Brush", I love to pat on my Powder, Bronzer and Blush on with this brush so I actually have three, I just find the the prefect size for all three things, It may be too big for some people to achieve a perfect contour but its perfect for me.

Thankyou for reading and please comment down below letting me know your favourite make up brushes.

Soap & Glory Favourites!

Hello Everyone, Welcome back to An Appetite For Make Up,

So I don't know about anyone else but I cant live without hand cream, I always carry about 3 around in my work bag and I'm forever creaming up especially in the winter; my skin is so dry and I just cant stand it.

But which is your favourite?

My favourite and I'm sure it is a lot of peoples favourites is Soap & Glory's Hand Food, I absolutely love it and I believe it is a "must have" for your handbag!!, I love the scent and the cream isn't too oily because of its non-greasy properties which is such a good quality to have for a everyday hand cream because no one wants to sit there to let there hands dry.

 .....and then this takes me on to my second product in my all time favourite soap and glory products;
Heel Genius; I am on my feet all day like many of you hard working people out there; and I try to look after my feet really well, I have tried many foot creams and scrubs and this one from soap and glory is by far the best I've tried, Baby soft feet.
And the best part is I just rub it on my feet and pop my slipper socks on and sit back and relax or sleep with them on, and you can just let it do all the work for you.
Also it has a slight peppermint scent which is good for foot products however not too strong and it still has a nice scent, sometimes with other products I have tried I find the peppermint scent too strong and it stings my feet so this was the perfect balance.
I hope you have enjoyed reading my post, Please leave a comment x

Thankyou

Naked 3 Palette!!!

Hello Everyone,
Welcome Back To An Appetite For Make Up, So like ever blogger, I got the Naked 3 Palette for Christmas I was so happy when I opened it and every time I reach for it I kind of still get that feeling.
Its such a lovely set of colours in Matts and Shimmers, Also I think these rose gold colours suit everyone so I defiantly recommend it for everyone no matter what there eye or hair colour may be.
So I am not going to lie to you, I haven't got Palettes 1 or 2, I have only just recently majorally got it to make-up, but there was just so much hype about the naked 3 I jumped on the band wagon and I for one will never look back.
Also the Packaging is beautiful and really shows the quality of the product, and comes with a really useful double ended brush, a flat brush to pack the colour on to the lid to get maximum pigment and a blending brush to blend all the colours to make the eye-shadow look come together.
The Palette is so beautiful and can be used to produce day time or night time looks, In this post I will show you a day time look I wore to a day shopping with my girls, I used the palette along side some drug store products to make my eyes pop, I hope you will like the look.

To Achieve this look, I firstly Primed my eyes with Benefits Stay Don't Stray, this is my favourite Eye Shadow Primer and really matches my skin tone; Next I then Used MAC's Paint Point in the colour "Bare Study" which a really nice shimmery colour to use as a base colour to then put eye shadows on top and it just allows you to blend really well.
I then went in with the lightest colour in the palette, "strange" and used the flat brush which comes with the palette and put that colour all over my eye lid.
I then used  "dust" all over the where I put "strange", I then put "factory" just in my crease area and blended it really well and finally I used "darkside" just in the outer "V" of my eye.
I then used Maybelline's colour tattoo in the colour " on and on bronze" and patted that with my finger over the top of my outer eye.

Thankyou For Reading and I hope you liked this look.

Love You All Ready
