Summer flower nails

Welcome back to an appetite for makeup,

Well what can I say, I am so bad at keeping up to date with this blog, I take photos of new products and nail designs with every intention to write a blog post but it just never materialises.........
All I can say is sorry and I'm back, so lets get on with today's post................

Summer flower nails

So what you will need..........

A pink polish
A shimmery green polish
A large gold glitter polish
A gold polish
A blue polish
A yellow polish
A nude polish
A brown polish
A gel top coat
A nail art brush
A small dotter

I know it's a lot of products but it's a summer look and when I think of summer I think of colour.

First I painted all my nails using the pink, nude, gold and shimmery green polishes.

Just to tart the nails up even more, I used a small dotter to place a gold dot on the pink nail near the cuticle.

Then over the gold nail, I used a chunky glitter polish to add that bit of sparkle that was missing.

So on to the flower accent nail...............

On the nude nail, I used a thin nail art brush to make a green diagonal wavy line across the nail.

Using the same green polish and the same thin nail art brush, I drew three leaf shapes along the wavy line.

I didn't have a dark green, so I mixed a yellow and blue polish together, I used the thin nail art brush and my mixed polish to edge the wavy line and the leaves.
Obviously this takes a steady hand but it's quite a layered design so you can hide mistakes with flowers later on in the process.

Using the dotter and the pink polish, dot five dots to make a flower on the wavy line, then using the same polish dot a few small spots randomly along the wavy line.

I mixed the pink and yellow polishes to make this orange shade and I used the dotter tool to make a dot in the centre of the pink flower and a few random dots around the design too.

Using a dotter and a brown polish, I made three small dots in the centre of the orange spot.

And all that's left to do is to seal it all in with a clear top coat.

I absolutely love this design for the summer! And hope you like it too.

Thankyou for reading and I vow to not leave it as long next time lol X X
